There are some life events so impactful, that when we come out on the other side, we cannot be silent. So much hurt, sadness, and disappointment, yet so much love, joy, and everlasting hope. I knew after living through a battle with anorexia that I could not be silent. I knew deep down that I had to share my road to recovery, hope, and healing. Thus this little space was born several years ago.

As the Lord would have it, this blog has morphed into so much more than just processing and encouraging others in the area of eating disorders.

We've walked the road of infertility, parenting a special needs child, and saying goodbye to a son who was born still at 20 weeks gestation.

And while the valleys have been filled with deep sorrow and heartache, God has been faithful and gracious. His light has overcome my darkest days. I am forever grateful to have a Heavenly Father who loves me, doesn't give up on me, and continues to hold my hand through life's ups and downs. He is so very good, even in the midst of life's overwhelming seasons.

It is my hope and prayer that you will find rest and encouragement here. And even more, my hope and prayer is that you will experience the abundant joy that is possible, when you give yourself and your hurts to the maker of heaven himself, and when you strive to choose joy despite circumstance.

. . .

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. Psalm 62:1-2
